Barshaleena is currently in her 2nd year of Master’s in Construction Management and Engineering at TU Delft. As Barshaleenas interest in researching sustainability connected her with Tijs van Haasteren, he became her supervisor on behalf of Aratis for her graduation research on actual sustainability subjects within the Tennet organization.
Barshaleena and Tijs developed the idea to examine how sustainability can be better integrated into practice. Her research will investigate what sustainability requirements TenneT has developed around their organisation and their projects and understand the challenges present in successful integration of those requirements in TSO projects. Through her research, a framework will be developed (in paper) which could be used by Aratis as an initial document, for integrating and managing sustainable requirements throughout different phases of project process.
