On Tuesday, March 12, the last three rotor blades for Windplanblauw were loaded onto the so-called “Feeder barge” in the Alaska harbour of the port of Amsterdam. These rotor blades, nearly 80 meters long, are destined for wind turbine no. 24 on the IJsselmeer, near the Ketelbrug of the A6 highway. Together with the already operational 37 wind turbines around Swifterbant, this will be the 61st and final windturbine of Windplanblauw.

As ARATIS, we are proud to be responsible for the construction management of this beautiful project together with our project partners. Today, special thanks to our colleague Rob Westerhuis for guiding the activities of GE and Mammoet in the port of Amsterdam.

Depending on the weather conditions, the 61st wind turbine will also be installed this month, thus the final step to help make Windplanblauw project a significant contribution to the sustainability of the Netherlands!
