Aratis signs assignment

Aratis has signed the agreement with Vattenfall and SwifterwinT for the construction management of the wind farm project Windplanblauw. The final designs of this project are being made and contractors have already started preparing the construction works. Aratis has been involved in the development of this great project since 2018, in which she is responsible for the tender. Aratis has not only contributed the necessary knowledge and experience for this, but also deployed its network of specialists. The tender documentation was also drawn up by Aratis on the basis of Systems Engineering, using its own software to support this process. The Project Information Management System (PIMS) is used integrally by the entire project team. This forms the “back bone” of the project.

Composite project

Windplanblauw consists of 37 wind turbines around the village of Swifterbant (FL), a 33-150kV substation, a 150kV export cable and 24 wind turbines in the IJsselmeer. This tender for the works in the IJsselmeer has not yet been completed. Windplanblauw is a composite project that was jointly developed by Vattenfall and SwifterwinT. They joined forces not only to develop this project together, but also to jointly realize this wind farm, for which they have delegated the entire construction management to Aratis. Aratis is supported in this by several independent advisors and colleague consultancies affiliated with them.

Aratis provides the total concept of construction management for Windplanblauw, in which the integral approach is central. The method of construction management according to the IPM model is a thorough and complete approach which Aratis is very well known with. Aratis believes demonstrable and traceable services are important in the representation of its clients and has therefore requested the assistance of affiliated consultancy firms in the wind sector for their specific knowledge and competences. This collaboration brings together the entire required expertise in the project team. In addition to the construction management of the onshore project part, Aratis will also complete the tender for the nearshore project part and deliver signable contracts. Vattenfall and SwifterwinT as well as Aratis are enthusiastically looking forward to the construction period of approximately two and a half years, whereby ‘zero harm on our (wind) farm’ is the credo.
