Wind energy is becoming increasingly important in the transition to a fully sustainable energy supply. Especially on sea dikes there are good and strong wind conditions, which is good for the sustainable energy yield and the achievement of the sustainability objectives. The Oostpolderdijk wind farm in Eemshaven has the world premiere: innogy, mainly known for Essent and Energie Direct, has three wind turbines built here on a primary seawall. This innovative concept using the cutter soilmix technique has never been applied before and therefore a period of extensive engineering has preceded it. Hans Sleper of Aratis takes care of the site management of this project.
